I was responsible for redesigning the Providência Pub brand from Sao Paulo. The brand reflects tradition, quality, safety, and elegance. The bar has an old style, with wooden tables, tiles, and old objects as part of the decoration, and is inspired by Portugal. Besides the brand, I also developed a series of graphic materials, such as magazine ads and the bar menu, and online communication, including Facebook and the institutional website.
Classical inspiration based on tradition: identity development for a thematically inspired pub
I was responsible for redesigning the Providência Pub brand from Sao Paulo.
I dealt with the Portuguese tradition that inspires the bar in this specific job. Its decoration was absolutely essential in this process. The main inspiration was the Portuguese tiles. It was possible to keep some elements of the original brand but simultaneously create something more modern.

In this job, I was responsible for the redesign of the brand of the traditional Providência pub, located in São Paulo, Brazil. Besides that, I created a series of other pieces for the bar, including magazine ads and the design of a series of other pieces, including the company’s website.
What I learned
The main learning in this work was to reconcile classic and modern in the same work. This undoubtedly demanded research and effort. The idea of solidity and tradition had to be worked simultaneously with the idea of modernity. The client was extremely satisfied with the final result.
