3D Splash: 3D images for advertising

I worked on the development of various concepts for the international beverages brand Bai, specializing in healthy drinks and antioxidants.

It is fascinating to see how computer graphics technology has evolved in recent years, especially concerning the possibilities of creating ultra-realistic images simulating colors, reflections, and the intrinsic qualities of materials. In this work, I used traditional concepts like studio lighting and technologies like particle simulation (to generate the splashes). The result was very interesting but challenging.

Project Outcome

Key points

During my career as a digital designer, I have had the pleasure of using several tools that combine the best of the digital world with classic photography and lighting techniques. This work was made possible by the possibilities offered by 3D software to reproduce aspects of lighting and photography that allowed me to create realistic conceptual images of products. I also used particles to generate the splash mesh in the most natural and physically plausible way possible.

What I learned

Without a doubt, the central learning from this work was to deal with the challenge of reproducing a real-world product in a totally digital way, making it possible to extrapolate the possibilities of representing this product through appealing visual metaphors. In this case, the product’s characteristics were explored through abstractions that could only be realized digitally. In other words: photography goes beyond the traditional workflow.

I'm always looking for new challenges, projects and creative partnerships. Shall we talk?

Feel free to contact me. I love coffee and good conversations!
